About Me
Hi, I’m Lucy. I’m a Level 5 qualified soft tissue therapist with a BTEC Diploma in Soft Tissue Therapy. I have trained with Sports Therapy UK and the ISRM through the Cambridge School of Sports Massage. My training included sports massage and deep tissue therapy along with a variety of muscle energy techniques to give a wide and varied approach to any soft tissue problems you may be facing.
I decided to become a Soft Tissue Therapist after my own experience of pain and discomfort. I have a cervical spondylosis which causes pins & needles and muscle pain. I was in pain all day, every day and finding soft tissue therapy quite literally changed my life. It allowed me to break the pain cycle I was in and be able to live my life to the full again. After feeling both the physical and emotional benefits, I decided that I wanted to be able to help others in the same way.
I love to treat a wide range of people; whether you have a recent injury/problem, aiming for a specific sports goal and want to be at your peak or have on going pain or a medical condition. My goal is to help you be the most comfortable and best that you can be. You don’t have to be a competitive athlete, or at all sporty, to benefit from a soft tissue treatment. We all have muscles and sometimes they need a little help!
When I’m not treating, I like to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I love horses and have ridden since I was 7; so any opportunity to be around them is taken. I also enjoy crochet and watercolour painting when I do spend time in doors. I’m not very good at sitting still!
